Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the independent provider that supplies its results; our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. A message sent to us contains only the material in that message and is used to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our host may create standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review aggregate patterns to maintain the service and understand readership. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited data to operate and improve the service, diagnose issues, and measure traffic. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
Links can lead to Fairfax County or Virginia portals, library collections, archives, and independent search services. Those destinations control information entered on their own pages, including sponsored-result services.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on the facts, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act rights under Va. Code §§59.1-571–59.1-581 may apply to personal data held by a covered business. Because we retain very little, requests normally involve reviewing the contact mailbox and any applicable logs, then removing information found there. Use the Contact page to ask. Fairfax County and Virginia custodians control their own public records, so a request about one must go to the office that holds it.
